Doug Jones is the Manahautū (General Manager Māori) at the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), and has been with the EPA since June 2015.
Doug previously worked at Te Ohu Kaimoana and was responsible for Te Wai Māori Trust and freshwater fisheries. During his time with Te Ohu Kaimoana he was a member of the New Zealand Eel Enhancement Company and supported rock lobster and customary fishing initiatives. He has also worked in policy positions at Te Puni Kōkiri and the Ministry for Primary Industries.
Doug is a Director of the Rongowhakaata Iwi Asset Holding Company, and Chair of the Horahorakakahu 1B Ahuwhenua Trust.
